Mandate
Working in the plastic molding industry, this client had to find an effective solution to reduce the risk of injury for a task requiring 600 handling operations per shift. The project mandate was to manipulate motors with different diameters while maintaining the fast rhythm of work. The tool would also have to be easy to use since twenty different workers per shift would be working with it.
We opted for a LITE vacuum lifting tube system mounted on a PIVOT PRO articulated jib. The control handle is easily activated with one finger using a trigger and each interchangeable curved suction foot is adapted to fit onto the surface of its respective motor. Moreover, as the working area is tight, the use of a PIVOT PRO enabled maneuverability near the post without sacrificing ease of movement.
